look to be the higher damage. Gunserker looks to be the bullet sponge; and the siren is the healer.
yea I noticed that the heals went to the siren. I'm not sure what kind of class I want to play when we get started. I'm not a big fan of the Siren in BL1.. but this siren is potentially very different depending on which skill tree you go in to. The assassin looks like it'll play more like the siren with the melee skill tree maxed, and more like the hunter with the sniper skill tree maxxed. The sniper assassin tree looks like it will give you absolutely massive crit damage if all the crit damage bonus modifiers stack.. which is tempting, but the actual action skill is not of interest to me. I'm not interested in playing gunzerker at all. Soldier is intriguing because I enjoyed playing mine in BL1, but more than any of the other classes I feel like the skill trees involve a lot of compromise.. maybe its because none of the skills along the tree are that great, but the final skills all seem cool.

It also really looks like the deeper skill trees are pushing you to be much more of a specialist. In order to be really powerful I think you're going to need to invest in a single tree. There are only enough skill points to get you to the ultimate skill in 1 tree, plus the "halfway" skill of a second. Is this Gearbox trying to improve replay-ability?

I'm assuming that we should be able to reallocate skill points just like BL1

So, I'm preparing myself to HAVE to reskill my character numerous times until I find a set of skills to suit my playstyle.

Yea thats true, but I'd like to be confident that the character I'm choosing at least has the skill-set potential to match my play style. Nothing worse than putting 100 hours into getting a character up to lvl 50 and realizing that there is no combination of skills you actually like.

Theres a deal for the future DLC over at Green Man Gaming. It seems premature to be talking about long-term DLC before the game is even out, but it seems like its a decent price. There will be 4 DLC packs for $10/ea, season pass is normally $30 (7.50/ea). This drops it to ~5.50/ea, pretty good price.. though it will probably be dirt cheap on a steam sale in like 2 years. Just to note, i'm not sure how the pre-order bonus junk fits in with this deal

can't tell for certain. looks like a midnight release from some of the talk but I can't seem to find out specifically what time it unlocks at. I'm off work tomorrow and I'd like to jump in for a bit if possible, but if its 3am ET (midnight PT) then I'll just get up early tomorrow

I think I'm gonna pass on playing late since I have to get some stuff done early in the morning. I'll definitely be on a lot tomorrow

Green Man Gaming still has a 20% off code working for this game apparently. I wouldn't know though as their site has been erroring out on me for the last hour.
