Asus M2N32 SLI Dead

Hi,

Well, I think I have a dead mobo. At first I thought it was a hd problem since I got some type of SMART error with "imminent failure..." but since I don't get the beep at startup, this board suggested it may be a mobo failure. Just a coinsidence with the hd error I suppose.

Anyway, I don't want to spend a fortune to rebuild an entire system. Can you recommend a mod to go with my current cpu? I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+.

Any suggestions and recommendations is greatly appreciated.

have you tried each stick of memory individually?

multimeter test on the psu 12v?

I actually switched psu's and no difference. I have removed sticks and tested with no luck. What I do see happen is no beed during startup, along with the activity light on the front of the tower goes out about 5sec after startup.

Does your mobo even have a speaker for the Beep codes?

there aren't many to choose from these days.

i wouldn't have a problem with the only atx board at the egg.

looks to me to have just about everything one would want and fully capable to handle the 6400.
