I tried the free 90-minute version of Torchlight 1 and made it about as far as fifty minutes. The caricature figures were amusing for about ten seconds, then annoying. And while I generally quite like "grind" games like that (Diablo2 and Sacred2 are personal favourites), that game was all grind for little apparent return. So no.

Torchlight II Beta Weekend

Is it wrong, that I like TII better than D3?

I feel like I HAVE to like D3...

...but with TII its like no stress, "oh hey this game is cheap AND fun".

This is going to be one busy year for the gamer.
