Catalyst 12.4

So when I upgraded to Catalyst 12.4, I noticed upon start-up there's a command prompt window quickly opening and closing.

I checked start-up entries and found a program called AMD AVT which the entry has a command for Accelerated Video Transcoding device initialization.

I checked the Cat Control Center to find nothing in the settings about this entry though.

For now, I disabled it on start-up but is it an essential entry?

I've had that for a while, sometimes its quicker on some days and you wont notice it.
I would imagine that disabling it would make the transcoder not work, but don't quote me on it
I would just leave it on just in case

I've had it also since Cat 12.3s. I'm using an HD6870. Not bothering me "too much" but i dont like it

I think prior to the 12.4 I was on 11 something so it's new to me.

never notice that with my 7970 running cat 12.4's. I guess that dosen't mean its not there, but its definitely not doing anything bad
