Yeah, I should also mention that if you do use this stuff to wash a car, always use a good microfiber wash mitt and definitely get a grit guard for the bucket.

I'd just use several microfiber cloths and constantly fold and turn.

Some people swear by tile grout sponges, but I don't know if I'd try that.

Hopefully nothing besides gas up and maybe an oil change for awhile.

So far this year the car needed: new water pump, manifold intake gaskets, manifold resurfaced, a fuel injector (and these are like $100 new! ), a fuel injector wiring harness (dealer only=$$$) and a few other minor things.
Thankfully I had a family member willing to help out with labor or the initial problems of the water pump and gasket replacement would have gone up from the $1000 estimate.

Oh, and apparently GM 3400 engines have some issues that I didn't know about before I bought this car last October. Had I known I'd have waited for a 3800-based Impala instead. Its my last ditch effort to avoid a mini-van or large SUV!

Oh, well.
I did learn about closed-loop cooling systems and related it back to watercooling in PCs.

Over the weekend, I'll be ordering a new hood and accessories.

I did alot to my car this week. '94 Caprice wagon with an LT1. Replaced the coil, Opti-crap, plugs, wires, and O2 sensors. i also cleaned the MAF, ran some Seafoam through it, and put in a bottle of Redline fuel system cleaner. Runs MUCH better now. I knew my car needed that stuff for the last 6 months or so, but I dont have a garage, and wasnt about to spend a few hours under the hood in the cold.

Drove my truck about 20 miles down an absolutely awful POS road to where they burned a recent logging unit last year - We picked 2 gallons of morels

Man that road sucks. About an hour to go the last 15 miles. But the traffic was light!

Since the supercharger is dieing on my grand prix, I am going to be putting in an Eaton GenV M90 in place of the current GenIII M90. That and an upgraded Northstar throttle body. Should net some nice gains.

Engine started running rough at highway speeds in my Fairlane. Troubleshot it down to the timing total advance. Seems the previous owner installed an aftermarket distributor with 2 options.. 36~42 degrees total mechanical advance and had "jury rigged" it to some extent to get it to work. Add in the 12 degrees if initial advance for a total of 48 + degrees at 3,000rpm! Dang thing started running really bad at highway speeds. I need to get down to at least 24~26 degrees total mechanical advance. Might have to replace the distributor completely if I cannot locate or fab parts to recurve it.
