If it has an entry in control panel>programs and features you should be able to click on it and run repair.

just wondering what you are trying to use that uses java.

an actual program downloaded or in browser like thing?

I only ever use java for some java based games such as Minecraft, But I have also needed it for school applications for my Homeschool web site, and ect...

depending on the version of java meaning version 7, or 6

I am currently running 7. but I am running x86 version even though I have a x64 OS

so once i know what version and what you plan on using it for i could possibly help you... your specs are of no value right now

    things I need to know

    1. OS version
    2. version of java
    3. and flavor of java

Sorry it took so long to reply... We were out of town... I have a few sites that I go to... one is Gov. Time.... it uses java to display the time... it looks like it wants to load, but then tells me I have a ( Class Not Found Exception )
UTCNIST4.CLASS.... My OS is windows 7... Java is the latest version that they want to update to... In fact it was working fine, till I tried the last version update.... I removed and tried a lower version... but it still doesn't seem to work... It won't kill me... but it drives me crazy when I have something on the computer and I can't get it to work... lol... Many Thanks for those who have tried to help... THANKS....

    Okay

So what flavor of OS I know Win 7 but I guess its safe to assume since you have 16 Gigs of Ram that your OS type is x64

A screen shot of your System info would be great so I don't assume

Also I want specific version of Java and Flavor and by Flavor of java I mean again x64 or x86 I would like to know Asap so I can try and recreate the problem.

also a link to said website so I can recreate that problem

    Thanks

alright thank you, the site would be a good place for me to test but I can run some other java applications I have locally. ill let you know if I can recreate the problem, and the repair is in what ever you used to install it or in the add or remove programs feature in control pannle

I did try using your specific version of java and ran it as *

but the only thing i came up with that was that your version isn't really that stable. I would run a "new" version of java or something else.

and your time site is fine for that version, ect. so its something in between the older version to when or if you updated. i would delete everything for java including cached files in "appdata" and then reinstall the same, new, or even older version of java

all the input I have. apart from making your own.
