I know the motherboard has integrated audio but I am not sure if I need to add speakers in order to hear it or if the display comes with speaker integrated. I am planning to connect my system with a display port cable not hdmi not sure if display port carries audio.

Dell Ultrasharp U3011 30" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey [U3011]
If I do need external speakers I would like to get some 2.1s in the £100-£200 price range I have searched the forums and the recommended logitech speakers along with the klipsch pro media are no longer available new in the UK.
