That is one of the first things i thought of my voltages are good and I'm not over clocking , one thing i did run into at another forum, is that the computer thinks it still has the old video card still installed even thought i removed all drivers and the like, i might try powering the system down resetting the bios and installing the GT430,ill let you know how i make out...was hoping to get a few more months out of this rig but time will tell...it's been good to me for 6 years....TIA

with the 430, is it still shutting down after 3 seconds?

the bios isn't concerned at initial start up which vid card is in it but clearing the bios is a good idea. be sure to power off the psu.

    try disconnecting all drives.

try each stick of memory individually in several slots.

do a visual inspection of caps on the board.
