Hello, i have an ancient Asus M3a/AMD 5600 am2 w/4gigs ram,Coolmaster 650 PSU and was running MSI 880GT PCIE, til my video card started giving me issues and tried a Gigabyte GT430 EVGA - GeForce GT 610 2GB DDR3 and to no avail the system won't boot and these cards work on other systems, green light on the MB is on and when i hit the power button the fans spin for 3 secs and nothing and with no video card no beeps, also these video cards have no power connectors, the system boots and starts fine with MSI 8800gt, also I'm running Windows 7 64....thanks much
That is one of the first things i thought of my voltages are good and I'm not over clocking , one thing i did run into at another forum, is that the computer thinks it still has the old video card still installed even thought i removed all drivers and the like, i might try powering the system down resetting the bios and installing the GT430,ill let you know how i make out...was hoping to get a few more months out of this rig but time will tell...it's been good to me for 6 years....TIA
