hp g72-250us core upgrade seeing only 1 core.

As stated updated this hp with an i5 560m core. Runs good but it's only
    seeing 1 core from the i5 with 2 logic's. Updated BIOS from F 14 TO F 37,
no change. MSCONFIG in advanced boot is set at 2 cores. Still seeing only
1 core. Any tips, hints, etc ? This is the core.

    BIOS is Insyde.

Where are you checking for cores?

reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery, while the main battery is removed, and no power to the motherboard . With workstation/ desktop motherboards this is often necessary, figure the same logic would hold true for a laptop. While you are at it check the voltage of that battery ~

Thanks and all good tips and leads. I have to replace the MB due to
a keyboard ribbon lock breakage. So a new CMOS batt goes in the MB
i DID see 4 cores in MSCONFIG advance boot and for some dumb reason
deleted that and now only shows 2 cores, but Devise Mgr is seeing 4.
I'm using CORE TEMP to watch core temps, but also loaded CPUZ
to see things and both are only showing 1 core.

It's just a simple bug I have to sort out. I'll let ya know when I get
    it on it's fresh MB.

    Thanks for the replies.
