Upgrading Laptop Memory (Ram) First Timer Help please
So I was thinking to get a upgrade for my 555G-7632 Acer Aspire.
I came across Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BC1067
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...d38435434ca9f4)
Will this be compatible with my computer.
I saw on the crucial website when i tested that the ram they recomended on the website had the exact same specs as the newegg ram but different model.
Does it make an difference?
Newegg spec:
DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
Cas Latency 7
1.5V
Dual Channel Kit
Model
CT2KIT51264BC1067
I ran this laptop I'm talking about through a few "memory upgrade selector" searches on different sites and I got a variety of results--leading me to think you might prefer to check with Acer.
My best guess is the memory you link is just fine. My hesitation is that Crucial.com wants to sell 1.35v memory while everyone else seems to suggest the 1.5v you link and while Acer seems mute on the voltage.
