What cell phone do you think is the best (assume all cost the same) for this Q4 2012?
Feel free to write a comment why.
I'm kinda on the fence between a few other than one that i would never even consider because its "so 2011."
iPhone 5
LG Optimus G
Samsung Note 2
Nokia 920

Samsung Galaxy S3

I really like my Galaxy S III but would not actually say it is the best. That pretty much comes down to personal taste.
My Motorola finally gave it up and the Galaxy S IV will not be out until early next year and I could not wait.

Never argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Based on my iPhone 4, which is two years old and has never failed me, I recommend the iPhone 5. I will get one when my work picks up. I drive a truck across country and the 4 & ATT works everywhere I go.
In many areas it is pretty much a tie. And still have to simply wait and see what Windows Phone 8 actually delivers, but tech wise the Lumia 920 seems very impressive in all areas, so that's going to be my next phone.
I actually head read some pretty good things about Windows Phone 7, but never personally used it. I've been on android since the HTC G1 and had an iphone prior to that, which i did not like.
I think im going to give the nokia a shot - i have a feeling the windows phone 8 will be really solid. And if it's not...well i guess i'll just ebay the phone and get something else.
I'm not sure if everyone is familiar with the LG optimus G.
Spec wise, it destroys everything other than the Galaxy Note 2.
Everyone should at least read how impressive the specs are before making a decision.

LG has made some pretty good phones, but has had a hard time breaking through in the Android market. That Optimus G looks like a winner after reading a few quick reviews (none of which tested the camera though).
I chose the iPhone 5 just based on my personal experience with the iPhone. I'm still using my iPhone 3G that's 4 years old.
My iPhone 5 is in transit to be delivered to my door soon. Can't wait!

I'd like people who voted for Samsung Galaxy SIII to actually say why it is the best? As it's been out a while, it's probably the phone they own, but many of the others offer newer and superior tech.

As to the best, it is hard to say what is the best as each individual has different preferences and needs.
I would say most of the newer phones are on par with each other. But I would be interested to know what is newer or better on the other phones.but many of the others offer newer and superior tech.

Nokia Lumia 920 has the best camera, arguably the best touch screen, highest pixel density screen, wireless charging. The biggest 'no-no' for that phone seems to be the OS.

I don't know about the Nokia having a bad OS though Pehu. Everyone I've talked to who has a Windows phone loves it, better than Apple or Android. Two good examples of this are my 14 year old daughter and a friend of mine who is an Apple fanatic. My daughter was in love with her Ipod before she got a hand me down phone from the above mentioned freind. He gaver her his old Windows phone. She LOVES that thing. She even went so far as to like Windows 8 on FB, something she's never done for any company, even Apple.
My friend who loves everything Apple was ranting and raving to me about his Windows phone the other night. He let me use his for a few minutes to check it out. Of course I'm completely clueless on new phone tech and anything Windows phone based so I don't even know what version it was. I wish I had asked. Still, having looked through my daughter's phone I can tell you that it is a very easy to navigate os. The biggest problem for Windows phones are obviously the lack of apps compared to Apple or Android. I will definitely be giving them a very good look when it comes time to replace my current Android based phone though.
I will concede the camera issue but other than that they are all (android devices) still pretty much on par.
I can run a HD movie and argue with anyone that says their camera looks better. I have 3 tablets and cranked the same movie up on all 4 devices and they all looked the same, other than the fact that the tablets have a bigger screen.
Apps all pretty much run the same on all of the devices.
I am by no means a galaxy fan boy, it just happens to be what I bought. I went to 3 different stores and all 3 recommend the S3. With their recommendations and the fact that the phone was on sale I made the purchase.

If navigation and maps are your thing, Apple comes dead last:
