Bulging sligtly and leaking Vent cap, and some nonstandard inferior Fuhjyyu caps - 1650uF 16V? OMG!
Much to my surprise, the CapXon s*it caps are used in Fortron PSUs:

Care for another taste of GSC caps? My friend Peter GF2MX400 graphic card:

You live nicely and peacefully, till a loud explosion come out of your mobo and your machine fail miserably. Then you check it out and see good Chemi-con KZG caps (DFI LP B) in the Vcore imput filters (1500uF 16V ones) entierly destroyed:

And your machine no longer working. That way exactly the wake up call for me
It was the Fuhjyyu caps in the Antec NEO 480W PSU that caused this anyway, but still...

well, this thread certainly seems out of left field, but I do have to say that I'll never forget the day I lost my beloved EPoX EP8-RDA+ to the bad cap disease

Yeah, it's been a long time since I've heard of anyone here losing a board to bad caps. It seems a lot of the systems you are posting are ancient Trodas!

No shit, FSP is known to use CapXon for ages. And they're also known for doing silly cost cuttings even on high end PSU's.

Re: Horrible pictures of dead caps

One day a customer brought in their PC because it would turn on but they wouldn't get any image on the monitor.

After I took off the side panel it took me about 30 seconds to figure out what the problem was. The poor old XFX Nvidia 8600 GT had gone to PC part heaven because of some bad caps.

I had another customer that brought in their PC because it wouldn't turn on at all, the culprit? Caps on the motherboard had gone bad.
