    Question kt7 wont boot from cd! only floopy

    hey guys i have the same problem. i did a clean format to install win 2000 and now i cant boot from the cd! bios detects the cdrom but always tries to boot from floppy 1st no matter what the bios settings are. i've tried fail safe settings, new memory cpu vid card everything!

    why wont it boot from cdrom??????

    Probably a bit too late but have you enabled the option Boot Other Device?

    Will it boot from any CD. Maybe a win98 cd. If it's not an official MS one, it could be written wrong.
