Looking for a budget upgrade for my GTX260.

Can anyone recommend a budget card that would give me a decent boost over my current GTX 260? Not really into a crazy gaming lately mostly just BF3 and World of Tanks. The new WOT 8.0 patch kinda sparked this as I get some screen lag and <30 FPS at times.

6770?
GTX 550 TI?
GTX 650?

What's your budget? I'm not so sure any of the cards mentioned are necessarily upgrades over your current GTX260...

It's a shame the GTX460 has vanished from the market (avoid the SE editions if you happen to run into one) as that card has (or rather had...) a terrific price/performance in BF-games. I'd say the (minimum) nVidia card you should consider is the GTX560 (the GTX650 seems to perform a worse, GTX660 is way above your price point - excellent performance though...).

AMDs 'minimum' card you might consider is the 7770 (could do with a 6850-6870 also) . A 7850 or better yet a 7870 would give you a more noticeable boost though (but... out of the price range). If you run into a 5850/5870... those cards would do well also.

Yikes I woulda thought for sure there would be affordable cards in the low $100s. Heck I paid $50 for the GTX260 years ago.

The 'problem' is that the GTX260 is actually a pretty good graphics card.

Used HD6850, 6870 or GTX 460 would be a nice upgrade.

I might have a PNY GTX460 XLR8 OC. Had a pair in SLI on my gaming rig till I upgraded to the GTX 680. Can't remember if I used both in my backup. If not I can let you have it for $100 shipped.

I'm looking closely at this thread as I'm in the same boat, except my budget is below $100

My issue with buying used is that you never know what you're gonna get! Unless the deal is substantially low I rather pass on it... no ofense on the deals offered here, I was referring to deals like e-bay, craigs list and such

I missed a Black Friday deal for a MSI hd7770 for $69.99 after MIR which would've fit the bill perfectly

It's back this week on the egg but only at $99.99 after MIR
