I have 2x2Gb corsair ddr3 1600 in two slots. I can buy 2x4Gb ddr3 2000 for $30. Timings are pretty much identical. My MB will do the ddr3 2000 speed (or so the specs say). Will 8 be better than 4?

Memory is cheap now, I personally would get more as long as you are using a 64bit OS.
