What speed class SD card would you get for a HD camcorder?

The camcorder can write up to 28mbps onto a SD card. Can I get by with lower than a class 10? or should I stick with a class 10 or higher for this kind of video recording. Its just for personal family use.

will you be recording at 1080P at all times?

if so, stick with a class 10 SDHC, any SDXC cards (they're default Class 10), or cards with the newer UHS class rating
