Recording what is on your monitor.

I would like to make a tutorial for a someone on how to do something by recording the steps i take to do it.
I would like to show them through a video and send it to them.
I would like them to see my mouse move across my monitor in the video as well as hear me or be able to type a message in the video. Maybe subtitles.
I am not talking about remote access but a video they can watch over and over again offline or online.

What are some good software in your opinion to use for such a project.
Thank you for all that share their knowledge in the forums, it is very helpful.

I think that is only for recording your voice, and not recording the screen and what you are doing on the screen.
