For about 15-20 seconds before it died I could smell a faint aroma of charred plastic, then nothing. Usinf the CoolMax 224 atx psu tester there was no output. When I hit the switch on the back of the psu the lcd display on the tester would flash on and then immediately go off. To manually test it I shorted pins 15 and 16 and used the psu switch. The psu fan would momentarily turn then stop. My question is this: What is the chance that the psu failure did NOT cook any other component? I'm worried because I can't afford to replace everything. I've got a psu coming next week.
Thanks,
Tom
