The thread is about whether AMD 8350s are a good choice though, and they are not.

The APUs are another argument, and while it may be true they have some marginal gaming performance, what kid [I]doesn't[//I] like video gaming? Buy a marginal rig and make him/her use it a few years on the assumption they might not like gaming? I don't see the sense in that.
