Operating system upgrade with existing Raid 0

Hi I am looking to upgrade my Vista operating system to WIn7 or WIn8. I currently have two hard drives in a Raid 0 configuration. Will I loose the raid 0 configuration when I upgrade?

I would like to keep the Raid configuration if possible but as I acquired the PC second hand I don't have any Raid software.

    Look forward to some advice.

    Regards

    John

Re: Operating system upgrade with existing Raid 0

I doubt if the installer of Win7 or Win8 would upset an existing Raid0. Both just got on with it when I installed them after I congiured the Raid by the normal ctrl+I during the post boot and formated the partitions in Linux.

As far as I known modern systems are factory-fitted to read the normal Raid systems.

In any case if an installer sees the Raid0 as one disk and not two then it should be OK for installation.

    Thanks Saikee

I was hoping that would be the case.
