No sound from motherboard on new install

:-( - Just done a fresh install of Windows 7 (64) - and I have no sound.... I use the on board sound from the motherboard.... I don't get sound of of the 3.5mm or if I connect my USB headset.... Tried all the obvious things and installed the drivers from the manufacturers website.... (see below)

On device manager - I suspect the problem is the exclamation mark next to the following:-

Marvel 91xx Config ATA Device
Multimedia Video Controller

But I have (think I have) installed ALL my drivers.... so not sure where to find out more about this....

Update:-
It appears the audio is playing through the SPDIF - I need to turn on the analog 3.5mm jack socket BUT I can't find how to do it.... Google hasn't helped so far....

I'm guessing you don't have the chipset drivers installed...

have you tried here to locate the driver(s) you need ?

All those drivers are installed.... apart from the ones for the HHD's and the THX Utility is too

Where can I find that.... the only drivers i've installed are the list on the ASrock x58 Extreme3 page and my graphics card driver...

All the drivers APART for the ones with HDD next to them... and I also installed the THX utility

I'm still thinking the chipset drivers aren't installed.

What does windows update tell you ?

Is this a new motherboard in a previous chassis? Are you trying to get audio out of the front panel ?
Maybe you have a chassis front audio that is ac97 compliant and you have connected it to motherboard front audio connector that is hd audio.Then your audio plug will not be detected when you plug it in.
Tried audio from the back socket ?
