New Build Suggestions

Hello Fellow PcPers.

I am looking for some suggestions for a new pc I will be building for myself. I am a gamer and I plan on overclocking if I can figure it all out. ( I understand the newer motherboards make this very easy)

I have about 900.00 to 950.00 budget. I am using a Micro ATX case. So Mainboard will need to be Micro ATX~

I plan on using the I-7 3930K quadcore processor. I need to buy so this is part of the budget.

I need some suggestions for mainboard / memory (16Gb) / SSD / very low profile cpu cooler / Video card

I did try to look up some of the major brainds (MSI ASUS ASROCK) but I quickly got confused with all the jargon they are using now.

I will not be putting in a soundcard, so I hope the board you suggest has awsome audio.

Woooops.. No.. I guess I didn't realize that.

Maybe I should go for something like the 3770S ?

That would save you about $270... So, at that point it should definitely be doable. I recommend G.Skill memory - go with 8 GB sticks. Asus, MSI, Foxconn or Biostar motherboard. No opinion on SSD or video card. Corsair power supply. The problem with going with a low profile cooler will be the cooling ability. Heat will be an issue when overclocking the newer processors.

since your plan to oc, you'd probably be happier with the 3770k. watch for a sale and save a few $.

If you have a Micro-center near you I would definately check out their prices on CPU motherboard combos.
