    in the case of an I7-3630QM Clockspeed: 2.4 GHz, Turbo Speed: 3.4 GHz

    It means in lightly threaded applications the processor will "auto-overclock" to a faster speed.

    On a 6 core for example if only 1 or 2 threads are being used it will idle them all except 2 and boost those to the turbo level.

    I don't even use it, I disable turbo.
