    Windows 8 install problem

I tried to load W-8 on top of W-7 and hit a snag.

It told me which programs had to be removed. One was a manual remove of PerfectDisk.

PerfectDisk is not installed on the computer nor is there a trace of it in regedit.

I loaded PerfectDisk, rebooted, and tried the OS install again.

This time it let me automatically delete the program. When it was done it again told me to manually uinstall PerfectDisk.

Once again the program was gone and there was nothing in regedit.

Any hints or help would be greatly appreciated.
