New PSU - Should a wire ever cross itself on an inductor?

So I just got my Corsair H1050 in, and am doing a non-invasive visual examination because the rest of my system has yet to get in.

    This is a huge PSU.

I noticed as I was looking at it that two wires on an inductor seem to have crossed over each other. Is this normal?

Hmm, I would guess its probably fine. At the very least you could fire up the PSU with no load and see if it starts up fine. Just short the green wire on the 24pin connector to ground and it should turn on.

I actually have a PSU tester just for this purpose.

Alright, it appears to be fine! I thought I'd remembered that inductor wires weren't ever supposed to cross. I think my memory is mistaken. Great. I'm getting old, but at least my computer's getting faster!
