Re: Need suggestions for HTPC CPU and MOBO
I'm about to purchase the components to build my first ever HTPC myself. I've narrowed down my processor choice to a AMD A6-6400K and a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI. I really like that it has onboard AC wireless to go with my new Netgear Nighthawk router, though I'll still use the gigabit hookup as my router sits right above where the HTPC will go. It's nice to have the capability to place it away from the router if the need arises. The 6400K should have more than enough power to play back movies and use XBMC with it. Micro Center has the cpu/mobo combo for only $140 so this is a really cheap way for me to get my feet wet in the world of HTPC.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
