Cool New members - Let's talk gaming

I thought I'd create a thread for new members to chat, ask questions about PCPer & the forums or just talk Gaming. So what's on your mind? What games are you playing these days?

50 views and no posts? OK anyone try the free COD Ghosts over the weekend? I did. Some of the maps seemed bigger but still the same old same old.

    Stopped it in its tracks.

I have Ghosts. Waste of $60.00 Game is broken.
I suffer huge lag bombs, stuttering @ start of some maps.
It's like watching a slide show to the point that I have to go prone and hope that I don't die while I wait 20/30 seconds for frames to level out.
I strongly suspect that it's their combination of "listen servers/dedicated servers" (to give us the best possible online experience) Ha!
As many of you well know a listen server is nothing more than a peer to peer network. A random player is actually hosting the match.
In this day and age that is BS.
But knowing Infinity Ward and their (ground breaking) MW2 IWNet I should have known better.
    Totally disappointed.
At any given time there are more people playing Black Ops 2 than Ghosts. That says a lot.
And don't get me started on the hackers. They don't even have an anti cheat.
It's an in game report player button. That's it. Incredible.

I was getting severe stuttering on most of the maps, thought it was my internet as I was having other issues. But guessing now it was the game.

its CoD with mechs and wall running. i didn't really see any longevity to it. i can easily see myself getting bored pretty quickly. the mechs feel weak, way to easy to rodeo a mech and kill it. in other words the mechs feel kinda pointless. when i see someone call down a mech and jump in im not thinking oh crap! im in trouble! i'm thinking free kill! as i jump on their back and trash their mech from behind. other than that its a generic shooter with a perk system and wall running. theres nothing really new here, just a bunch of ideas from other shooters thrown together.

in short it a very cheap sale buy (below $20)for me.

i can certainly see the game being popular, especially as popular as CoD was. if thats what you want in a game look no further.

I played the tutorial and 1 match. Eh, Didn't care for it.

Zman maxed out rank wise....I believe he also pre-ordered the game.

I'll direct him here for some of his thoughts

    Ok scrubs listen up.

Titanfall Beta once in was a fantastic surprise in both game play style, and aesthetic choice. The Source engine was ever apparent in its Graphical presence as you cannot get much higher than really good paper mache.

Game play is a 9/10 I'd have given it a 10/10 if there was more guns, attachments, and things to tinker with (not gimmicky paint jobs)

The game play itself is like any FPS shooter. However you can run on walls, hop great distances, and blow stuff up to high heaven.
Mechs in the game are not at all over powered. One man can easily take on a mech or two (if you are pro.)
The game plays similarly to COD : 4 as it should as they devs for that game had a hand in its creation.

Graphical hiccups aside. The game itself is amazingly fun to play, everything is pretty balanced, and there is no one sure fire way to be broken as a soldier.

You rank up pretty quick in the beta I played maybe 9 rounds or so and I hit max rank (84 minutes an change lvl 14.) The achievements are easy to acquire. (25 kills on players) gets you any lvl 1 attachment for example a silencer for your pistol. there is a break in between matches of about 70 seconds or so.

I had very few problems after I turned some of the eye candy stuff down because it was munching my GPU and causing Stretching/ Artifact-ing.

For the TL: DR Games play fast, nothing broken apart from graphical issues (Check,) game play is balanced, and its a nice refreshing play style for a fps.
