    Hello pond dwellers.

Hello pond dwellers. After a long hiatus I'm thinking of getting back into folding. First things first I need to desperately update my aging elder statesman of a machine lol. So out of the loop when it comes to PC hardware and whats what these days.
Since I'm considering upgrading my machine it would be worth taking a look at folding again. I miss hanging out with you guys and some of the fun races we had against each other back in the day.

Hope all is well with everyone. Got lots of reading up to do on the current state of pc hardware and what direction I might want to take for my upgrade.

    Cheers all.

Posted this up as my potential upgrade path. What do you think?

When I can carve out some time over the weekend, I'll give it a look.

First glance...With an intel processor, anything above 1600 is a waste of money as the memory controller is on the die now.

AMD cards are quite impressive now adays. My old 7870 is pulling about 60000 PPD by itself. Unfortunately, the stupid *coin miners are eating up stock.
AMD R7 1700x. MSI B350 Tomahawk. 2x8gb Corsair vengeance LPX. Coolermaster Hyper 212 evo. Corsair Carbide 200R. EVGA GTX 970.
