usb zip working on windows 7?

Ok I am about to make the upgrade to my pc to windows 7 64 bit. I plan on getting a usb Iomega Zip drive so I can use this to transfer samples from a music sampler I have.

Has anyone used this setup with success?

How much data are you talking about? Why not just get an external HDD or even a large capacity thumb drive or two?

The zip drive is required so I can transfer audio samples. This is because of the sampler (Roland SP808) has a zip drive and its audio samples are a proprietory file system and the only way is to use rolands sample software to convert to wav file. I need a zip drive on my pc to convert those files
