Is it safe to use old Memory in my new low-voltage Haswell based laptop?

Hi! I just bought a new laptop, the memory by default is 4G 1600 low voltage (I think it's 1.3v)model for Haswell(CPU). I have 2*8G old memory 1333 with normal voltage(I think 1.5v). I've used my 2*8G memory in my laptop and windows recognized it showing my computer has 16G memory.

However, I stoped using it because I worried because of the difference of Voltage and use of higher voltage, will it cause damage to my computer, especially the battery part?

Plus, will I notice any speed difference for using new 1600 low voltage haswell memory than my old 1333 normal voltage memory?

the in correct memory voltage and / or amperage if too low or too high can cause stability issues and shorten the lifespan of the semiconductor chips to prematurely age
