    Popping noise coming from motherboard

Hey guys I built a pc about a month ago, and everything has been running smoothly until recently it started making a popping noise it's quite discreet but still annoys the hell out of me. I opened the case to try and figure out the reason for the annoying popping, and it seems like the popping comes from the motherboard, specifically near the cpu. The popping sound is constant, although it seems to aggravate when performing heavy duties, such as gaming. Would love some input from you guys, the popping drives me crazy and worries me that there could be something wrong.

    My specs are as follow

    CPU AMD FX-8350, 4219 MHz
    MotherBoard Asus M5A78L-MUSB3
    Ram: 2 x 8gb DDR3 Kingston HyperX
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4 GB)
    Windows 8.1 64 bit
    Case: Cooler Master haf 912
Cooler: 4x CoolerMaster Cooler FAN Xtraflow 120mm
PSU: EVGA 600B Bronze Power Supply
    HD: 1 TB SATA-3

English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

check again, To me it sounds like a noisy HDD, if it is then make sure its properly mounted, anti-vibrating mounts could also help

Re: Popping noise coming from motherboard

Popping is a new one for me.
If my system system started making a noise like that, I would grab the case with one hand and then with the other touch some of the larger items on the motherboard to see if the noise changes.

Should help narrow down where its coming from.
