Witcher 3 Announcement From CD Projekt Red

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you know of the recent announcement made by CD Projekt Red team regarding the AMD Radeon performance on the up and coming title, The Witcher 3.

“Many of you have asked us if AMD Radeon GPUs would be able to run NVIDIA’s HairWorks technology – the answer is yes! However, unsatisfactory performance may be experienced as the code of this feature cannot be optimized for AMD products. Radeon users are encouraged to disable NVIDIA HairWorks if the performance is below expectations".

    Hope this helps

Very few people run NVIDIA HairWorks. Even most people with NVIDIA GPUs end up disabling it because the framerate hit is just too big to be worth it. The game still looks really good with it disabled.

I was able to run Hairworks without any lags. I did take a small hit in the FPS department, but it seems that my minimum FPS is above 60 FPS.
