    New Antivirus

I've been using Avast Antivirus like forever and lately there are some things that I don't like anymore. Could someone recommend a good antivirus program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so to speak.

My subscription is about to run out.

I use a chinese av called qihoo, free of course with "customer user experience program" but it has tons of tools, 4 av engines.

Gets vunerabilitie patches that MS does not always show up in windows update. Also has a firewall which is so so and more then anything is more like a network monitor and only block what you want instead of asking

    I use this:

    Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 (2015) 3 PC

Has some features I really like - including a firewall, URL Adviser (real handy when you are on the Google highway) and Safe Money (opens banking and such in a protected browser)
Has good anti-virus with dat's updated daily.

btw I just ordered and received another CD from this vendor as my subscription is also running out.
You can go to Kaspersky's web site and download the latest version and use the key provided to activate.

Edit Dead link Vendor is no longer associated with Ebay

I installed BitDefender on my last Windos 7 system and did not like it at all. Took help from them to even get to install without killing my internet connection.

    Heyyo,

@ OP, you said you have Avast Antivirus. The free version works great and it's just an annual free renewal on the free version. I'd recommend just doing that.

I've had issues with BitDefender like it randomly decides to stop working without saying a word. :P

I used to have McAfee but had issues with their customer care regarding their subscription issues. Now I have switched to Kaspersky. But if you are looking for free software, than go for Malwarebytes OR avg.
