System crash due to DDR2 4gb ram

    Hi friends

I am using mother board ASROCK N68C-S UCC with DDR2 4GBx2 ram ( Ram which I purchase recently).
When I am using 4gb ram in slot 1 it's working but when I use both 4 gb (Total 8gb ram) ram it boots for first time and I can check in bios that both the ram is detected even in CPU-Z (SPD) i can check that both the slot having 4 gb ram, but after few minutes it get crash and after booting it shows blue screen memory dump and get restarted with no display.

I have checked both the ram it's working in slot 1.

so can anyone help me what's the problem?

Is there any Motherboard memory slot 2 problem? ( I guess that Memory slot 2 is not having problem because whenever I add ram to slot 2 it's recognize first time after that it crash)

Please help me my 1 4gb ram is doing nothing and waste of money.

    Welcome to the forums.

Not knowing this particular board, are you putting the memory in the same color of slot ?

Are you using the default SPD timings ?

    Overclocking ?

All I can think of for a suggestions is, You might need to raise the voltage to the memory controller to make it stable with 2 sticks.

Hi, I tried by raising the voltage from bios to 1.85 but it's not working, taking to much time to boot ( 10 to 15 min), but detecting both ram, so I removed ram

Have you ram memtest on both sticks by themselves?

No I haven't done any memtest. Any simple way to do test?

Perhaps the problem is unrelated. Have you tried running memtest with just the original stick of RAM?
