Hi I have a supermicro X9DRG-QF with a UEFI m2 PCIe adapter that has no built in controller and relies on the BIOS to support booting to the device. The X9DRG-QF does support UEFI but the M2 SSD does not show up in the BIOS... No options about using SSD M2 over the PCIe bus.

We were able to boot to Windows 7 setup and it can see the Samsung 951 SSD and all 240 Gigabytes but windows cannot install because the BIOS doesn't detect it to set it as a boot device.

Any advice on what PCIe M2 adapter we should use with it's own BUILT-IN Option rom so it will be detected by any BIOS and all installing Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 over USB?

Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 all give ACPI BIOS Error upon booting to the usb drive.

Windows 7 loads very slowly and finally gets into setup where you see the 240GB partition of the drive but you can't install windows on it because it gives error "Cannot install windows on this partition".

Even tried diskpart - clean - create partition primary - format fs=ntfs quick - assign - active ...... And it still wouldn't install.

Any help to get this thing loaded up with windows 10 and booting to the OS would be great!

THANKS
