Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU vs AMD RX 480

I've been out of the PC hardware game for a few years now, but I'm slowing getting back into it. Just saw that NVIDIA's 1060 will be priced around $250, which is comparable to the RX 480. Which GPU is better for a budget gaming system?

Can't wait to see the benchmark results to see which one comes out on top.

The RX 480's overclocking potential will supersede the GTX 1060's because the aftermarket 480s use custom PCBs and higher quality components that allow huge overclocks. Just a heads up.

The aftermarket 480's are here and most samples can't hit 1400mhz boost, so you're looking at around ~9-11% OC. Thats right in line with what the 1060 will do over stock, even the FE. There are plenty of 1060's with custom PCB's and higher quality components as well, just like there are 1070/1080's with the same. None of it appears to make much difference this generation, we're limited by TDP and clock walls, not the quality of the chokes and VRMs
