    Samsung 850 EVO vs pro

New here from Pakistan, I'm currently using an Intel 530 series 240gb SSD as a boot drive and now I'm missing all that storage space that used to come with HDDs. I would like the same speeds if not better for a 1 TB ssd. I'm currently double-minded about whether to buy a Samsung 850 evo or pro? My most time consuming task is the periodical system image backups that I do using file history in Windows 10. I use a 1TB WD Passport USB 3.0 external HDD for that purpose. Other than that I use my PC for gaming and for work mostly with MS Office.

    What is my best option?

I guess the question would be is it worth the extra money to you for the warranty on the "pro" drive ?

Personally, I have evo drives in most if not all of my rigs.

Thanks. Do you experience any performance drops? What's warranty for the EVO?

No performance issues, according to a recent bench I did...Performance is the same as when I initially got the drive.

EVO is 5 years of warranty, the pro is 10 years if I recall correctly.

Realistically you are not going to notice a difference. The difference between 2 top performing SSD is quite negligible in all real-world scenarios. That being said the performance of the Pro is going to be a little bit faster and have better prolonged write reliability and longevity.
