Would it make sense to upgrade the motherboard on the High End System from the "ASUS Z170-A" to the "ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha" which has two built-in U.2 interfaces for the newer SSDs? The cost difference is approximately $100. I was thinking of making the M.2 the boot drive for the OS and adding a pair of U.2 SSD drives in a RAID 0 configuration for gaming and mass storage. Does this make sense or should I just stick with a pair of Samsung 850 Pro's on the original mb? How much faster would it be going to U.2? Is it worth it for gaming, particularly for open world type games such as Fallout 4 with graphics settings all maxed out and tons of mods. I'm not looking to do VR, but I would like to go to an ultra-wide screen (21:9) 2560x1080 @ 60Mhz minimum, so I'm also looking to upgrade the graphics card to the GTX 1080. Let me know what you guys think and thanks.
