I've discovered recently that every Windows 10 PCs I setup (couple of mine, couple family members) where I definitely disabled the Windows defrag schedule has been re-enabled and 'optimizing' the disks. I highly suggest everyone verify their settings.
If Win 10 shows the drive(s) as a solid state drive, it is just doing "garbage cleanup" or trim to the drive. It isn't actually doing a defrag operation to the drive
That's correct optimizing merely sets trim.
