FF Member connection speeds.

This thread contains a list of members internet connection speed for the purpose of determining who can host servers.
For a game server the upload bandwidth is much more relevant than the download.

I recommend Speakeasy's multi-location speed test server which seems to give accurate and consistent results.


The list is sorted by upload speed (highest to lowest).

Same. Dave and I have the same service. However... even though we have the same provider (Qwest) we have different ISPs and it seems like I might get a bit faster speeds sometimes. I've had 1000 kbps upload often.

Took a test off each server listed to average them out. I don't think I'll be able to host anything, though I might set one up just for the hell of it one day. I was able to host a Q3 server with 4-5 people on it and wasn't too bad.
