    Hi Roy,

Please refer to the AMD’s announcement from following link.
    https://www.amd.com/en/corporate/speculative-execution
The customer needs to software/OS update.
It does not affect the BIOS of the AMD motherboard.

    Thank you

I fail to see what there is to deny.

There is no need to update the BIOS. AMD chips are as of yet not affected by Meltdown due to the architectural differences between Intel and AMD platforms.

Also, when AMD states that there are Microcode updates, those are applied to the CPU not the BIOS and are done via the OS update stack. I do them regularly under Linux for my Intel processors. A BIOS update can often be completely different from a microcode patch. For example, Intel releases a BIOS update to patch the AMT/ME system built into the BIOS. This is a BIOS specific thing.
If you are looking for specific microcode updates for Spectre variant 2 for your AMD chips, you will need to contact AMD as most of those have been made available to their enterprise customers at their request as their enterprise customers were the ones who insisted AMD create the microcode patches to begin with. They did not want to take the chance.
