    Question Using PCI slot with PCIe card?

    I bought an Asus Wifi PCIe card... and my X99 mobo only seems to have one slot, right underneath the PCI slot I am using for my 1070 GPU. Can I use one of the other full size slots down below? A bit stumped here.

    Yes the x16 PCIe slot is compatible with x1 cards. They just look funny plugged into the full length slot.
    If you want to use a PCIe card in a PCI slot you need an adapter like this. https://www.neweggbusiness.com/Produ...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
