Gaming laptop, Rog vs Acer ... help me with your opinion

Hi All!
I bought an Asus Rog 503 something.. pretty standard gaming laptop, i7 16gb ram, ssd + 1tb hard drive, the graphics card though is an 1060 with 3gb the screen is g-sync with 120hz refresh rate.

I was tormented with the fact that the 1060 only has 3gb so I ordered an Acer aspire nitro v5 same specs except the graphics card has 6gb instead of 3. however the screen is not G-sync and only 60 Hz.

thoughts? what would you have done?

The higher refresh rate on the Asus ROG would look a lot better in games.

You can see that some games easily crack the 3GB mark, even at 1080 with no AA. As soon as that happens, a 3GB card is going to perform very poorly, and no amount of adaptive sync can save it. Sure, there won't be any tearing, but 10 fps (or lower) is going to be noticeable no matter what.

On the other hand, a 120Hz G-Sync display is going to be far better in games that don't push past the 3GB mark.

The 3GB is enough for 1080p gaming, so don't worry.
Also, why are you "tormented"? it's just a raw spec. Just have fun with it..

So you bought 2 gaming laptops you're unsure about, when you could've bought one premium machine with everything you need and more for the same amount...? Am I missing something here?

ASUS has launched their ROG series laptops just for gaming purpose only so as per my point of view you have to go with the ROG laptop only. Also, you are looking a laptop for a gaming purpose only then ROG series laptop is fulfilled your all the gaming needs than other normal laptops.
