    Optical Mouse Surfaces

I have the Logitech optical wheel mouse. Would like to know what type of surface you are using with yours. I have tried everything from the desk to all kinds of mouse pads but everytime I try to turn fast the optical gets lost and I end up looking at the ceiling or the floor.

Got the Mouseman wheel, use a Ratpad with it and love it, but the Ratpad needs to be washed fairly often as it collects dust.

    Yup...Ratpad rules!
But it sounds like you need to adjust your mouse speed. Try that.

I just use the granite color laminate on my desk, no pad and never have problems with skipping etc.

Surface dosen't really matter with the Optical mouse, as long as its not something silly. Eg trying use mouse on paint.
