    "Newbie" 200 FSB and 266FSB

OK I'm a bit of a newbie, and I am hoping someone can just clear this up for me.

I've started buying bits n pieces for a new system.

Went to a computer fayre and bought A7V-E and Thunderbird 1Ghz.

Now I have read that the A7V-E only supports 200MHz FSB.

How do I know if the CPU I just bought is in fact a 200MHz FSB, or a 266MHz FSB?

    If it is 266MHz, I'm gonna be stuck with a CPU that I can't use aren't I ?!!

Hell, I don't even know what FSB is. I didn't know there was a difference between one Thunderbird 1GHz and another.

I just hope the guy who sold me it, knew which kind he was selling me.

look at the chip... it should either have a C on the end of it or a B...

    C denotes 266 fsb and B denotes 200 fsb

from memory it will still work at only 200 fsb..
