hehehe...I understand that! Do you use the logitech yourself? I've heard it's awesome, but I'm pretty used to my plain, ordinary MS Optical mouse...

I've got a Logitech Mouseman Wheel (4 button)...a mouse I do like, but sadly does not replace my beloved (and now deceased) Boomslang 2000. I've been seriously considering getting myself one of the new Logitech Dual Opticals...buy.com had them for only $50.

Hey, Thanks much for the Nali City link!!!
For some reason, my old NC link took me to PlanetUnreal...?

I am a huge fan of custom maps and already have many of the ones you listed. In fact, I just checked and see that I have 325MB in my UT Maps Folder. Woo .

Okay then, it looks like I can leave that disk at home...

I only have around 200MB worth of user created maps myself, so you'll probably have most or all of what I have. Have you ever played Gen][? I LOVE that little map, it's a blast! Figured it was too small to bring tomorrow though. I prefer having time to form a thought or two after spawning in before getting sprayed into the next room...

    Cool COOL!

Well, another LAN party is behind us again. I feel sad but I console myself with the fact that we'll have another one (of course)! This time we'll be shooting for sometime in March (not sure what day yet). This time, I'm thinking of starting as soon as they open (10 or 11) and playing till 5 or 6. This last one was a total blast, but it just flew! It felt like we were there an hour, not four. Before we knew it, it was time to leave. We had a super time and this time they actually had UT on the systems, so we got to play the game we all enjoy the most.

Seriously, if there's anyone who's considered going to one of these events and hasn't yet, please try to make it to the next one. UT on the internet is one thing, but playing a group of people who just want to have fun, on a LAN, with everyone on comparable machines is the best gaming experience I've ever had. Also, the people who've gone are great people; everyone there is just happy to get together and play. No one is good enough to 0wn everyone else, and no one takes the game so seriously that they don't have fun. We play the game because we like it, not because we take any of this too seriously...

As always, anyone and everyone is invited to the next one. As we get closer to March, I'll work out all the details and post them here so we can get it together...

Once again, big props to Tom for taking care of the arrangements at The Stomping Grounds (I think he secretly wants to work there!!) I know GalWhoFrags and I had a great time We had a great group of people there, but I'd sure like to see if we could get a few more from AMDMB to come down and join in the fun. Once again like Tom said, this is all about getting together and having FUN!! They let us load the maps that Tom had brought along so if you have some favorite maps you'ed like to play, or maybe have made yourself we can all enjoy them together! I know that some folks have said they'ed like to attend but have had reasons the couldn't, maybe we could work out rides if need be ect. Just let somebody in this thread know. Thanks again TOM

    TSG

I totaly agree. I had a blast at TSG, but it went by to fast. Hek, the whole weekend did. March can't get here soon enough. I'm a go for 7 or 8 hours this time, plus it will give wtburnette (Slayer) more time to sit and talk.
I will get the pictures posted as soon as I can. Please be patient, the camera is a new toy with learning curve.
Thank you wtburnette for taking time to set it all up.

Yeah, yeah, I had to take a break from kickin all your butts...

hehehe...not really! We all know that no ONE player dominated (for more then a couple games at a time anyway), but yeah, it would give me more time to sit around and talk...

As much fun as it was to play, it was just as much fun sitting around shootin the breeze...

I tell ya, if I could make the salary I make at my regular job working at TSG, I'd take the job! Talk about a dream job...

Other than the mouse wheel problem...you really didn't like the Dual Optical??? I had heard it rivals the Boomslang 2000...in terms of accuracy.
Yeah, I liked the Dual Optical, but the new Explorer is much better IMHO.

That would be ok with me. Hell, the LAN parties we used to have at your house were 8 to 10 hours!! I don't think I'll ever forget playing Quake2 and Forsaken all night 'till almost 4am. Those were the days.
