I like... does this board have the voltage problems like with the 8K7A? Does is have 2 or 3 phase power?

How did he use multipliers other than 11.5 since the 1800XP L1 bridges are locked? Did he have an 1800XP that wasn't locked?

Luckily it has a 3 phase power supply. You can get the DDR voltage to 3.2v!!! If only the vcore would go above 1.85, it would be perfect. There is a mod to fix that found at www.ocinside.de

You can unlock the chip by connecting the L1 bridges. It's best done w/ a rear window defogger repair kit. More info at the ironicforums and also a nice xp website by Anthony Skorochod here.

Unless I'm wrong, they have stated that reviewers on this site do not unlock processors for review purposes. They can supply the answer. Did they unlock a locked 1800XP to change multiplier?

"How well did I do with it? Well, using the Athlon XP 1800+ (which I just reviewed) I was able to reach a front side bus up to 171 MHz and got the processor at a very fast 1.7 GHz without breaking a sweat or a processor. Also, pushing the voltage all the way up, I could get the processor up to the same speed, by just using the new multipliers above 12.5x

Looks like it's unlocked to me.

Buckaroo- I understand all that. That is exactly why I posted a reply in the first place. Reviewers should inform readers of all the test parameters including a processor that had to be unlocked to get their test results. I don't think it would be right for someone to read the review, miss that unlocked situation, buy the 1800XP, and then get a big surprise- it's locked. All I want is better reviews than the ones I have read in the past. I remember a lot of 8K7A reviews where nothing was said about power circuitry problems. There were also many reviews where nothing was said about USB problems at higher FSB settings. It appears that unlocking an 1800XP is not a simple task as the two references posted earlier attest to.

So this would have no problems with my Enermax EG365P-VE?

Many sample XP and MP 1800+'s came unlocked.

Jackie O, I appreciated your candid review of the Iwill 333 board. I've followed you on Accellenation (and the predecessor) for quite a while. Corresponded some with PeaBrain.

Anyhow, you mention the 1800 mp. At least one website has predicted a 1.8GHz MP next week. Any light you are able to shed?

I can't shed light on the date, but it won't be 1.8Ghz. It will be an 1800+, just like the XP. Rumors of a 1.8Ghz MP aren't true as far as I know.
