Strange CounterStrike problem

I haven't played counterstrike in about two months so I decided to re-install it today. I downloaded the newest patch. I join a server and about 2 minutes into the game I keep on getting kicked from the server. I notice on the console that it it says 'playername overflowed' or something like that. Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?

Well sometimes usually very rarely I will get kicked from a server and get the message that I overflowed, i't usually means I got lagged out and i'll try another server. What connection you got?
This was rare for me on my 56k and I don't think i've ever had it happen on my cable.

I'm on a ADSL connection. When I had the older version of CounterStrike installed, I never had a problem of 'overflowing' or lagging out. My pings were below 100 all the time.

Didja try adjusting packet size rate? That sometimes helps. I'm wondering if maybe you have your connection speed set wrong in the options menu or when you installed 1.3

It's in the options somewhere. If you've got it set for 28.8 or like >T1 then that's probably your problem

Sorry, I don't remember the console command to set packet rate

I have never cheated when playing games online. NEVER. Cheating are for those who are losers or bored. I always install and play with PunkBuster.
