I never said the 8500 wasn't a kickass card but promoting it OVER a gf3 I have a problem with. If ATI could make stable fast drivers & had a better track record for doing so I'd sell my gf3 in a heartbeat. I've had six video cards in my 23 months of owning a pc. LOL, every four months or so I get "the urge" to try another.

Try helping a few amdmb members out, Radeon8500.

Instead of promoting a product with "issues". And personal attacking a member thats helped lots of peep over the last 6 months makes your lunacy obvious to all.

Here's ONE SAMPLE, you raving lunatic. I can dig up lots. In fact MOST of your 100 posts are the same mindless drivel.

Now mind you, the 8500 is actually a competent card as opposed to the voodoo3, but your vigilance is a bit extreme. Its like you feel the need to justify your purchase by fooling yourself into believing that your card is so superior to anything else that you are some kind of genius.

    More radeon 8500 drivel

OOPS, here's another reference to RADEON8500 dOOd:

It sounds to me like you are the one on the bandwagon. Yea they all say there's more to the cards. Nvidia says to expect about 20% more in 3dmark scores with the geforce 3. I believe in what's at hand and not what someone promises me, on any of them.
Half the card? When you show me a score of 15,000 on a 1.4 with an 8500 I will believe that. That's what it would take for me to believe it. Until then I just take you as someone that is on their own bandwagon.
I just did a search at madonion for score's of a 1.4 (actually 1404 because that's what mine runs at). This is what I got. This is at 1024x768x32

    Geforce 3-7669
    Geforce ti500-7610
    Radeon 8500-7587
    Geforce 3ti200-7499 (mine)
    geforce pro/ti/gts-5099
    geforce ultra-4930
    Radeon 7500-4479

Now try to convince me that 88 points is half the card.
88 points is not enough to get me to shell out another 100. Those cards look like they are going to be 99. after rebates all week at best buy.

You stupid piece of shit. I'm running a 1.4 running stock. Put that piece of shit 8500 on a 1.4 running stock and see what you got . You are just a whiney piece of shit waiting on your big brother to move out so you can get the room to yourself. I just showed you who had the highest marks on 3dmark 2001 with those settings. If you can't respond like a human being, then I'm not going to respond to you as one.

If you want to do a real comparison run yours at 1402 and see what you got. I am still waiting for your sorry ass to post me a link to your score. Are you still trying to figure out how to do that?

You obviously did not even bother to read my post as you would have seen that it is a search of all the highest scores at that res.

yes this highest score is on a 2035

    http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2054394

    Here is on a 1901

    http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2059880

    This is on a 1889

    http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?1949735

    The highest 8500 is on a 1956

    http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2042994

Here is a radeon on a 2460. This is the highest 8500 on a comp over 2000.

    http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2038983

No explain to me why the nvidia's are spanking the radeon, especiallly the 1889 with nvidia is whipping the 1956 radeon.

You can't because you're just too damn stupid, and the only thing you can do is call people names and not come up with facts.

Gee, am I the only one that dismisses Radeon 8500 dood?

How many more posts must I dig up to get your sorry ass (RADEON8500) off this messageboard?

I'm willing to bet 99% of RADEON8500's posts are flamebait. If I must, I will prove this.

More RADEON8500 love, more will follow

You are the first one with the name calling. You called me an idiot. Remember! You are the one that has been typing in caps (yelling). Not me. I Just took it to your level. I tried to keep it with facts and links, you got your panties in a bunch and started typing in caps and calling names.

You want to dance that's fine with me. Just keep in mind that I was probably overseas in the service before you were born. I would go through you like crap through a goose, junior.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a Radeon 7200 32mb running on Win XP with the ATI Win XP drivers. These drivers will crash your system!!!! I am telling you, if you are running Win XP, you had better wait until ATI gets these drivers worked out. I had to turn EVERY feature 'OFF' on my 7200 just to keep the card from crashing my system. Win XP has sent countless error reports to Microsoft, so hopefully M$ and ATI will get together on this and work it out. If I could remember the damn link........Go to asusboards.com and you will find a link there to a Radeon specific message board addressing this very issue!!!!!!

I am a 100% Radeon fan, but until they get these XP drivers in working order I am going to have to go purchase a Geforce card

BTW, the drivers for the 8500, 7500, 7200, etc are the same exact driver set. This is the final warning, the ATI drivers for Win XP are causing 'SOME' people troubles. I cannot run my Radeon card fully optimized. All features for 3D and everything are turned off because of the drivers. Here is a quote from the error report box that pops up after a system crash in Win XP

"Your system has recoverd from a serious error. If you would like you can send this error report to Microsoft." Further on it says "The Radeon 7200 seems to be the source for the system instability. Check the manufactures website for driver updates."

Like I stated above, I love Radeon cards, but this issue has to be worked our before I use another Radeon card on Win XP.
