can i stack 2 Seagate 80 gig Barracuda IV's (eide 7200) on top of each other ? Inwin A500 case.

i'm hoping i wont have to buy anything else because i have approx $15 left for the month of December.

personally, i wouldn't. they get pretty warm. i have 4 of them at raid 0.

i have mine on the top bay seperate from the board and cd rom and writer.

ok. i will separate them. i'm opening my case now to look at what i've got to deal with.

i can't believe i was so stupid. there are 2 places for an external 3.5" drive on my case. one of the spaces would be used by a single hd.

it seems that all i would have to do is lower the floppy drive one space and then hook one hd where the floppy was (top 3.5 space) and keep the other hd where its at -- at the bottom.

its as simple as that right ? the measurements appear to be the same from all 3 spaces. same slots cut in too.

not stupid, you just didn't know .

yes most cases accomodate at least 2 extra spaces under the floppy drive. those drives will fit into the spaces under or over the floppy drive.
